I haven't posted a whole lot, but I've been pretty busy with my class. For a long time, I thought I'd be lucky if I got a high B, but to my surprise I logged in today to work on my next class and discovered that I got an A! A 4.0 for the session! Wahoo!! I'm really thrilled about that, because it's what I wanted, and I worked really hard. In fact, I've sort of forgotten what fun felt like until today at work, where there was a lot of celebrating for one of my co-worker's birthdays and general hanging out (I still got a lot done somehow). I lost a lot of time, had to set aside other goals, but it was totally worth it. More importantly, I learned a LOT about communicating, and my whole world-view has been changed by this course. It's exciting to see myself make progress, even though it's stressful too. So, hooray for me!
Meanwhile, Stardust was taken off her medicine (finally!!) and then put back on (darn it). She's been hacking up hairballs (weird?), but it could be her tummy too, which was swelling up, so she's back on the meds, and we managed to get more duck food (they had run out, so they don't know if taking her o ff the meds was the problem or if it was the food change). Stardust turned 5 on Sunday, and Monday was the 1-year anniversary of the arrival of Tatsu. It's pretty neat, because they get along so well now and we've all come a long way from a year ago!
The wedding plans are in progress, but seem to have slowed down now that we have the reception and ceremony location set. But, we still need someone to marry us and to book the caterer, and I'm waiting on swatches for the bridesmaid's clothes... whoo! It's a lot of stuff.
Hmm... Well, I guess that's all of the updates for now. To anyone who thinks they don't need it, I recommend taking an interpersonal communication course, or even just read the text book I had by Adler, Rosenfeld, & Proctor II (2007, 10th ed.). It is such a good text book, and I'm loving Argosy University btw.
Anyway, Stardust has come up to remind me that if I'm on the computer, I should be doing homework, so I'd better go. But, I survived the first round! Hopefully the second will be just as good. =^--^=
